FlightSafety teams with Flight Research to offer upset recovery training
The new training program aims to reduce loss of control in flight accidents by fusing FlightSafety International’s type-specific simulator training with Flight Research’s in-aircraft instruction, according to company officials.
Full circle to a dream fulfilled
In 2014, Vlad Prostakov traveled from Russia to SUN ‘n FUN, where he enjoyed his first ride in a seaplane, a 1969 LA-4 Lake Amphib. In June 2021, Vlad, now a CFI, will work on his seaplane rating, coming full circle from his first seaplane ride to certification.
Colorado pilot wins NAFI/King Schools scholarship
Allen Reenders of Longmont, Colorado, will use the scholarship to earn his initial CFI and his CFII, and “plans to be an active flight instructor for many years to come,” according to officials with King Schools.
EAA Museum expands with Pilot Proficiency Center
The $6.2 million project, funded via a capital campaign separate from EAA member dues, will feature a Pilot Proficiency Center and a hands-on Youth Education Center. It is expected to be open by the 2022 EAA AirVenture Oshkosh.
