The Custom Windsock Co. has introduced a telescopic windsock pole for agricultural aviation operators, private airstrips, hangars, and industrial sites that need easier access to elevated windsocks.
The pole extends to approximately 20 feet and collapses to 80 inches. Its telescoping design brings the windsock and frame within reach from ground level, reducing the need for ladders, lifts, or harnesses during routine windsock inspection and replacement, according to company officials.
The assembly uses a 7000 T-8 series aluminum pole with a 3.5-inch outside diameter and 10-gauge wall thickness. It includes a ground sleeve, pole adapter, through bolt, and a heavy-duty 304 stainless steel windsock frame. The frame uses an enclosed double ball bearing for smooth rotation and a 3/4-inch NPT connection, company officials noted.

Customers can select an 18-inch or 24-inch frame to match the inlet diameter of their windsock. The complete assembly weighs approximately 33 pounds.
The telescopic pole is sold as a complete hardware package. A windsock is selected separately based on the required inlet diameter, length, visibility, and operating application, company officials added.
The Telescopic Windsock Pole is available online to customers in the United States for $1,197.95. International customers should contact the company for shipping options and a quote.
