Researchers at the Aerospace Systems Engineering & Transportation (ASYST) Lab at the University of Arkansas are seeking participants for a research study on public acceptance of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).
Advanced Air Mobility includes emerging aviation technologies such as air taxis, electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, and medical delivery drones. As these technologies continue to develop, understanding public perceptions will be important for their future integration into communities and transportation systems, according to the researchers.
The study explores public views on the potential benefits, concerns, and future use of AAM, including issues related to safety, noise, environmental impact, privacy and cybersecurity, affordability, automation, and community benefits.
Researchers say the responses will help them better understand the factors that may influence public acceptance of emerging Advanced Air Mobility technologies.
Participants are eligible if they are 18 years of age or older. No prior knowledge or experience with aviation, drones, or Advanced Air Mobility is required.
