Suppose you hear a frantic 10-year-old over the radio. He says, “the pilot has passed out! A horn is going off and the plane is shaking! What do I do?”
That’s a question asked by flight instructor Rich Stowell in his post on Complexity.
So…how would you respond?
Besides his 67 flights in my Garmin equipped RV-7A, my 10 year old grandson knows how to work the autopilot, switch to 121.5, fly the plane, and has a laminated set of emergency communications to read on the radio. It’s a terrible thought to leave a 10 year old if incapacitated but one we work on all the time.
Valuable lessons for not just your grandson, but for all of us. A perfect example of clarity in thought and heart.
