In consideration of the Do point

This is the Do point, not to be confused with the Dew point, which pertains to the weather. It relates to a pilot’s ability, even responsibility, to do something. To make a decision that’s rooted in safety. An action that is based on solid, conservative thought processes designed to keep ourselves, our passengers, and the aircraft safe from harm.

Applications open for Cascade Warbirds scholarships

Applications will be accepted until Feb. 29, 2024, for scholarships from Cascade Warbirds, for private pilot ground school with introductory flights for young people between the ages of 16 and 21.

Touch and goes banned at KTOA

In a Jan. 23, 2024, meeting, the Torrance City Council voted 5-1 (with one abstention) to ban touch and goes and restrict back taxis and low approaches at Zamperini Field (KTOA) in Torrance, California.

Pilot testing numbers see significant increases

Old friends make good
