Flight training survey reports new pilots take fewer weeks but spend more to earn certificate
The fourth annual State of Flight Training Report notes that the median time for a student to earn a certificate or rating decreased over the past four years from 30 weeks in 2020 to 24 weeks in 2023, but the cost increased from $9.000 to $14,000.

ASA’s checkride apps feature a flashcard format to study the questions most likely to be asked by examiners during the last step in the pilot certification process, the practical exam. Questions and answers are organized and in compliance with the most current FAA testing standards, according to ASA officials.

You Can Fly challenge raises over $6 million
The AOPA Foundation’s You Can Fly program comprises four initiatives: High school aviation STEM curriculum, flight training, flying clubs, and the Rusty Pilots program.
Able Flight partners with Southern Illinois University
Able Flight will provide two specially adapted Vashon Ranger Light Sport Aircraft in which the student pilots will learn to fly. SIU instructors will receive factory-provided transitional training in the Ranger.
