Five Oklahoma high schools will receive a flight simulator to enhance the implementation of the You Can Fly aviation curriculum, thanks to a donation from the Corporate Aircraft Association.

Redbird Pro app released
Developed for use with iOS and Android devices, “the app uses artificial intelligence and behavioral design to personalize the proficiency training of pilots and make the daily improvement of their knowledge and skills more achievable, enjoyable, and effective,” according to company officials. Pilots don’t need access to a Redbird flight simulator to use the app, company officials added.

The new simulator supplement from Redbird gives high schools free access to nearly 70 lessons, expanding their capabilities to immerse students in educational aviation coursework, according to Redbird officials.

Piper M600 sim gets FAA nod
The M600/SLS simulator has an actual M600 fuselage, pilot seating, sub panels, switching and flight controls, and a multi-channel projection system with wrap around visuals. It also features M600 type specific Garmin G3000 avionics with Piper’s HALO safety system, inflight stability protection, level mode, and auto throttle system.
