Electric Aircraft Flight Tests Take Off in Hawaii
Surf Air Mobility and BETA Technologies have launched an electric aircraft demonstration program in Hawaii. In partnership with Hawaiian Airlines, the flight test program is designed to evaluate the operational and infrastructure requirements for integrating electric aviation into the National Airspace System.
GE Aerospace partners with BETA to advance hybrid electric flight
Under the new agreement, GE Aerospace and BETA plan to develop a hybrid electric turbogenerator for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) applications, including long-range Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) aircraft, future BETA aircraft, and other potential applications.
