The airport cleared out several aircraft from the 32,000-square-foot hangar to allow for the setup of 10 vaccination stations. A steady stream of recipients flowed in and out of the hangar from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m. Wednesday for their first dose of the vaccine. More than 2,000 vaccines were distributed that day.

New solar panels help Clay Lacy work towards zero carbon footprint
The new solar array will offset the equivalent of 530 metric tons of CO2, the same amount of CO2 generated by driving more than 1.3 million passenger miles in an average car or burning over 584,000 pounds of coal, according to Clay Lacy officials.

The new hangar, increased ramp space, and new fuel farm are expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2021.
