By Ben Sclair · July 20, 2010 ·

I caught up with Jim Scott, owner of Aircore Aviation in Arlington, Wash. at the recent Arlington Fly-In. Seems business is up 300% year over year. He is focusing his energy exclusively on maintaining light-sport aircraft and Rotax engines. A positive-rate in a dreary economy is a good thing. Keep up the good work Jim.

Tempest Aviation spark plugs (made in the USA) include a glass center seal with a resistor which replaces the multipart screw, spring, carbon pile stack up known to suffer misfires, wasted fuel, and engine roughness. The plugs finish is an environmentally preferable electrolytic nickel that provides durability, corrosion protection, and wear resistance. Tempest Massive Spark […]

A few moments with Jack Pelton

By Ben Sclair · July 18, 2010 ·

Bonus depreciation and research and development tax credits. Those were two pieces of legislation Cessna’s Jack Pelton, president and CEO mentioned in response to my query, following his June 21 speech to the Aero Club of Washington. He spoke of the myriad challenges we in aviation face. FAA reauthorization (long-term, not patchwork); cancellation of aircraft […]
