By General Aviation News Staff · May 23, 2025 · Leave a Comment

The Ninety-Nines, International Organization of Women Pilots, has appointed Jill van Egmond as its new executive director.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jill to The Ninety-Nines,” said Robin Hadfield, president. “Her proven track record in building inclusive, high-impact organizations and her dedication to advancing women in aviation align seamlessly with our mission. We look forward to her leadership as we grow our global reach and influence.”

“Jill brings a wealth of experience in non-profit leadership, organizational development, and mission-driven engagement,” officials continued. “With a strong strategic vision and a deep passion for empowering communities, she is exceptionally well-suited to lead the world’s oldest organization of women pilots into its next chapter.”

In her new role, Jill will oversee day-to-day operations, collaborate with the board of directors, and lead efforts to strengthen member engagement. She will guide initiatives that support the advancement of women in aviation, including educational outreach to youth, leadership development, mentorship, and scholarship programs.

She will be based at The Ninety-Nines’ international headquarters in Oklahoma City.

Founded in 1929 by 99 women pilots — including aviation pioneer and first president Amelia Earhart — The Ninety-Nines now has more than 8,000 members in more than 40 countries.
