Small horizontal fuel float introduced

By General Aviation News Staff · April 17, 2025 · 1 Comment

RADIANT Technology has introduced the Bingo 6, a small horizontal fuel float that can be used at any point in a fuel tank to detect the presence — or absence — of fuel.

The fuel float can be paired with any alarm light or indicator, such as the company’s 100db aural annunciator, company officials said.

Installation in typical tank with optional aural annunciator.

Specifications:

  • Usable for either up or down orientation
  • 32 volts maximum
  • 100 milliamperes maximum
  • Includes black 15-inch wires
  • Polypropylene material for compatibility with gasoline and water (alcohol is prohibited)
  • ½ inch NPT for installation in any tank
  • Overall length of 3.2 inches
  • Use with any light or company’s 100db aural annunciator

Priced at $49.95, the fuel floats are expected to start shipping in late April 2025. The company’s 100db aural annunciator is available for $29.95.

Absolutely brilliant (radiant? LOL ) idea BUT.. I don’t recall any “spare” holes in my old airplanes tanks. Inexpensive smart and probably doable as a NORSE installation (minor alt. A&P w logbook/maint record entry) but having to pull tanks and weld a bung is low on my list of things to do this week…. on any of my, or my customers airplanes. At build or restoration, EXCELLENT plan. I can see this as a smart inclusion in newly built aircraft immediately.
