SEND, a provider of worldwide datalink connectivity, has launched MyTIS, which provides ATIS information in digital form for pilots.
Based on the FAA’s D-ATIS, which provides digital ATIS information for 76 airports across the nation, MyTIS adds another 82 airports across the U.S., as well as 36 in Canada and 30 in Australia, with additional locations being released weekly, company officials said.
With MyTIS pilots can access ATIS information “before critical phases of flight and then confirm the current ATIS when in range of the ATIS broadcast,” company officials explained.
“Additionally, SEND provides the most recent FAA METAR or ASOS (if available) with the landing information,” they said.
They add that NOTAMs are not included in the MyTIS information and “should be reviewed before departure.”
MyTIS is now being used by pilots using AirText, the worldwide datalink from SEND. MyTIS will be available the first week of April 2025 for pilots with other connectivity systems through the free app FBOlink.
There will be a charge of approximately 25 cents per MyTIS requested in the app, company officials noted.
