ForeFlight Voyager 2.0 released with Infinite Flight aircraft models

By General Aviation News Staff · November 15, 2024 · Leave a Comment

Infinite Flight’s library of aircraft models and liveries are now part of Voyager, ForeFlight’s airport traffic app designed for Apple Vision Pro, “offering users a more immersive and dynamic planespotting experience than ever before,” according to Infinite Flight officials.

The app “immerses users in a 3D airport environment, combining satellite imagery, high-resolution terrain, live traffic data, and real-time air traffic control audio,” according to company officials.

Previously, Voyager depicted every aircraft using one of eight blue models representing the general category of each aircraft. With Infinite Flight’s contribution of nearly 1,000 aircraft models and liveries, users will now see realistic depictions of a wide range of aircraft, officials said.

“Infinite Flight is renowned for creating highly detailed, realistic aircraft models that greatly enhance the mobile flight simulation experience. We’re thrilled to incorporate these incredible models into Voyager, bringing an even more immersive and visually rich experience to plane spotting enthusiasts,” said Henrik Hansen, ForeFlight’s Chief Technology Officer.
