In Latin, memento mori means “remember you must die.”
That’s a little dark. If you let it be dark.
As a reader of Stoic philosophy, memento mori reminds me to live.
That phrase came to mind as I watched 26,000 Days.
It is a nine-minute film by Henry Behel.
“This is the story of Eric Tucker, an air show pilot who turns most pilots’ nightmare into a beautiful dance. Through flying dead-stick — turning his own engine off and falling out of the sky — Eric confronts the challenge of how to make the most of life and live without regret.”
The cinematography is stunning.
Expand the film to full screen, turn up the volume, and soak it in.
The film was posted to Vimeo six months ago, but is new to me.
Enjoy.
Thanks for sharing …enjoyed it very much !
