Willapa Harbor Oyster Feed and Fly-In

By Ben Sclair · September 14, 2013 ·

The fourth annual Willapa Harbor Oyster Feed and Fly-in is slated for Saturday, September 21. This annual event is one of Washington State’s most popular fly-ins attracting pilots from neighboring states and Canada.

It’s an irresistible combination of hangar flying camaraderie and freshly harvested succulent Willapa Bay oysters grilled to perfection by a world class chef. The feeding frenzy is from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Willapa Harbor Airport (2S9) near Raymond in Southwest Washington. North America’s finest oysters — all pearls removed —will be served while pilots share their exaggerated airborne exploits.
