Tecnam P2006T MTOW increased

By Janice Wood · January 5, 2012 ·

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has issued Major Change Approval 10037759 confirming the increase in the Tecnam P2006 Twin’s Maximum Take Off Weight (MTOW) to 1230 kg (2,706 pounds).

Tecnam has always followed EASA certification for its airplanes by ensuring that other similar international bodies validat the Italian company’s new models as well, officials said. With the EASA Major Change Approval now in place, Tecnam is working to ensure that other certification authorities, including the FAA, also validate the P2006T Twin’s MTOW to 1230 kg.

The Tecnam P2006T Next-Generation twin is powered by Rotax 912S engines and includes the option of a Garmin glass cockpit.
