Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA) newsletter content will now be a monthly feature in General Aviation News (GAN). The PAMA generated content will appear in the second issue each month and will serve as the primary print communication vehicle between the association and its current and potential members. All active members of PAMA will receive, as a member-benefit, a subscription to General Aviation News at no extra charge.
“Communications and member benefits are two crucial components for any association,” said Dale Forton, PAMA president. “We are excited to be working with General Aviation News to make sure our growing membership is aware what is happening with its association and the greater aviation world. Turning wrenches is just one facet of being a professional mechanic. Increasing education of the larger aviation industry is crucial. General Aviation News will play an instrumental role in the ongoing education for our members.”
“Without mechanics, General Aviation ceases to exist… period,” noted Ben Sclair, General Aviation News publisher. “Our readers care deeply about their aircraft, so offering consistent insight into the industry that keeps our aircraft airworthy will be invaluable. I’m excited to offer content from the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association to our readers. I have no doubt this increases the value of being a regular reader of General Aviation News.”
The partnership kicked off with the Dec. 16, 2011, issue of General Aviation News.
The Professional Aviation Maintenance Association is the premier association for the Aviation Maintenance Technician. PAMA promotes professionalism and recognition for the Aviation Maintenance Technician. PAMA does this by fostering continuous improvement in aviation safety and community through communication, education, representation, and support.
