Barefoot Bandit gets more than seven years jail time

By Janice Wood · December 20, 2011 ·

The 20-year-old “Barefoot Bandit” was sentenced Friday to more than seven years in prison after pleading guilty to dozens of charges, according to a Fox News report. Colton Harris-Moore gained international notoriety while evading police across America in stolen planes, boats and cars during a two-year crime spree. What captured the general aviation community’s interest is that it was said Harris-Moore taught himself to fly.

This jerk knew right from wrong, regardless of what excuses his attorney will dream up.  7 years?  He’ll be out in 1/3 of the time minus time already spent awaiting trial.  That’s “justice?”  Once being released, let’s see how long it will be before he’s back in trouble again?  I would imagine that it won’t take long for this poor misunderstood tramatized victim of his upbringing to be “venting” on us citizens again. Having worked with criminals for over 14 years, this guy has that type of personality that cannot ever be reformed. He says that he’s sorry.  They’re all sorry…that they’ve been caught.
