Midwest LSA Expo set for Sept. 9-11

The Plane & Pilot Midwest LSA Expo expects more than 40 Light Sport Aircraft, including Part 103, Motorgliders, and Gyroplanes on the flightline at Mr. Vernon, Illinois’s Outland Airport (KMVN) September 9-11. See the program book for the Expo online for information about the exhibit hall, forums and general schedule of events. The show will also feature:

  • The Missouri History Museum’s 1934 Monocoupe, previously owned and flown by Charles Lindbergh (Friday & Saturday only).
  • “PAN, PAN, PAN” Aviators’ Hotline’s first Safety and Survival Seminar presented by Captain Denis Murphy. Captain Murphy has survived two ditchings in the Caribbean as a charter pilot and will be presenting programs on Friday and Saturday.
  • A special 911 remembrance presentation on Sunday, September 11, 2011 by USAF Colonel Matt Swanson.
