INDIANAPOLIS, IN—Eagle Creek Aviation Services, will install the new Garmin GTN 750 and GTN 650 touchscreen avionics in two Turbine Commanders operated by the Colombian Government as part of full Grand Renaissance Commander Refurbishments now underway by Eagle Creek.
The GTN 750/650 are an integral part of the Garmin-powered avionics suite installations on the two Colombian government-owned Commanders now undergoing full multi-million dollar Grand Renaissance refurbishment at Eagle Creek’s Indianapolis facility.
“The ability to use touchscreen technology to operate a remote mounted transponder and audio processor is a great advantage of the GTN 750,” said Gary Kelley, Garmin’s vice president of marketing. “It results in a cleaner, uncluttered panel well suited to the Twin Commander.”

The Colombian Army Aviation Brigade operates the Turbine Commanders in a multi-purpose role including aerial surveillance and VIP transport. The Garmin avionics upgrades are an important component in the factory authorized Commander Grand Renaissance refurbishment, a literal tip-to-tail rebuild process of the airframe.
