Mobile, AL – Teledyne Continental Motors (TCM) introduced its O200 Lightweight Engine for sale to the Piston Aircraft market. The O200 Lightweight Engine line is purpose-built for the Light Sport and Kit Aircraft markets. (O200 spec sheet).

Sporting identical dimensions to the O200A, the O200 Lightweight Engine weighs in at a 199-pound dry weight and comes complete with starter, ignition, and fuel systems. Additional features include light weight cylinders, lightweight precision balanced crankshaft, sprocket propeller flange, weight matched connecting rods, and numerous additional features.
This new engine is priced at $21,499 and deliveries will be in August 2009. TCM will accept any aviation engine core in the 85 – 115 horsepower range regardless of manufacturer. The engine need only be a complete and operable aviation engine. Details and limitations are available on TCM’s website.
