Wag-Aero buys Safe Air Repair

By General Aviation News Staff · August 5, 2005 ·

The Wag-Aero Group has acquired the assets of Safe Air Repair, Inc. in Albert Lea, Minn. Safe Air Repair manufactures FAA approved parts for the Aeronca, Champion, Bellanca and Taylorcraft lines of aircraft.

The roots of Safe Air Repair stretch back into the mid-1970s when co-founders John and Sandy Roscoe purchased the assets for the manufacturing of replacement parts as the original Champion Aircraft Corp. ceased operations. Safe Air Repair, which manufactures more than 11,000 replacement parts, will be merged into Wag-Aero’s manufacturing division, Aero Fabricators, in Lyons, Wis.

Wag-Aero, Aero Fabricators, Leading Edge Air Foils and Safe Air Repair are all owned by the husband and wife team of Bill Read and Mary Myers.
