Weldcraft introduces single piece collet/ collet body

By General Aviation News Staff · February 25, 2005 ·

To provide quicker changeover between tungsten sizes while improving tungsten centering on TIG applications, Weldcraft introduces its new single piece collet/collet body. The single piece collet/collet body fits all standard, existing torch configurations without requiring any special adapters, adjustments or additional care to achieve proper tungsten alignment.

“This product combines the functions of the traditional two-piece collet and collet body into one convenient part while maintaining performance,” says Mike Sammons, business development manager for ITW TIG Welding Systems. “The single piece collet/collet body comes in both 10N and 13N series, so it can be used in any standard torch configurations that currently use the equivalent two-piece system.”
