Where to find real Texas BBQ

By General Aviation News Staff · February 3, 2005 ·

In Central Texas, I recommend Cooper’s Bar-B-Que in Llano (CoopersBBQ.com).

The airport, Llano Municipal (KAQO), is about three miles from the BBQ. The city provides an old car for visitors to drive to the BBQ. If you arrive around noon on a Saturday or Sunday, the voice on the airport unicom frequency will ask if you are going to the BBQ, and you might be asked to share the car with other arriving visitors.
