The increase in glass panel cockpits in general aviation aircraft has not had a dramatic impact on safety, according to new research by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association Foundation’s Air Safety Institute.

Bonanza Society launches online training program
The American Bonanza Society (ABS) and the ABS Air Safety Foundation have launched BPPP Online+Flight. This new program presents the type-specific, pilot-centered classroom instruction of the Beechcraft Pilot Proficiency Program (BPPP) through web-based education, combined with the training of BPPP flight instructors individually scheduled near the pilot’s home.
Bad landing for student pilot

What reportedly happened: A student pilot was practicing touch and goes with a CFI on board. According to the CFI, during the flare the student pilot pulled excessive back pressure on the elevator flight control and the airplane ballooned.
Pilot flies mountain lion cubs to new home
On Monday, Feb. 27, Joy Covey, a LightHawk volunteer pilot from Woodside, Calif., had some very special guests aboard her Pilatus PC-12: Two orphaned, injured mountain lion cubs, who needed to be taken to the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center in Scottsdale, Ariz.
