What reportedly happened: The accident flight was the first after the airplane had undergone annual inspection. About 10 to 15 minutes into the flight, the engine experienced a total loss of power.
Hunter, McCullough win Baldwin scholarships from NBAA

Flying the Alto 100
While Sebring 2012 crowds were the best ever and plentiful aircraft made for good shopping resulting in a flurry of sales, one of the best aspects of Sebring 2012 was ideal weather. Numerous pilots experienced some of their final choices before handing over the cash. Such perfect conditions also allowed reporters to get in on the action. More detailed reports will follow but now I am pleased to offer a mini-report on the Alto 100.
Onex hardware kits at Wicks Aircraft
Wicks Aircraft Supply has reached an agreement with Oshkosh-based Sonex Aircraft to supply the hardware kits for its new Onex (pronounced “one-x”).
Benefit for Wounded Warrior Project during AEA convention

The National Aircraft Resale Association (NARA) will hold its Spring membership meeting on Thursday, March 29, and Friday, March 30, in Scottsdale, Arizona. In addition to association business and networking, attendees will have the opportunity to hear three speakers, including Dick Rutan and Clay Lacy.

MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH has received an FAA STC for the next generation 5-blade scimitar composite propeller MTV-27-1-E-C-F-R(G)/CFRL250-55b on the Dornier Do228-100, -200 Series Series with Honeywell TPE331-5-252D, TPE331-5B-252D or TPE331-10T-511D, or TPE331-10P-511D engines.
