Airplane shipments up 4.2% in first nine months of year

WASHINGTON, DC – The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) today released the results of the first nine months of general aviation industry shipments and billings for 2012, which shows thatairplane shipments increased 4.2% compared to 2011, while the accompanying value of the airplane deliveries rose 1.4%.

Cessna builds on safety education initiative

Cessna Aircraft Co. is building on a safety initiative started in 2011 designed to educate single engine owners on new inspection procedures. The latest effort is aimed at 100 series single-engine piston aircraft owners around the world, and informs them about new supplemental aircraft inspection procedures that will be added to 100 series Cessna service manuals.
