By Janice Wood · July 6, 2011 ·

The 43rd annual Arlington Fly-In opens today, July 6, and runs through Sunday, July 10, at the Arlington Municipal Airport (AWO) in Washington.

The event feature workshops, nearly 140 forums, more than 150 exhibitors, and an air show each afternoon.

Coinciding with the Arlington Fly-In this year again is the West Coast Cherokee Fly-In. Karl Bergey, designer of the Piper Cherokee, will attend the event and will be the keynote speaker on Friday night, according to officials. Other West Coast Cherokee Fly-In events include a flying scavenger hunt, a Whidbey Island NAS tour (includes touring the tower and P-3 Orion simulator flights), and a hangar party with dinner and live music on Saturday night. Representatives of General Aviation News will be at the show in Booth 67, so stop by and visit.
